A major oil and gas operator is looking to hire a Project Controls Engineer
Function: Project Services
Assignment Location: Houston , TX
Assignment Start Date: 2008 / Completion Date: Ongoing
Duties:
- Project Estimate / Schedule review process through project Gates and
Check Points
- Preparation of Check Estimates / Schedules to compare with OBO
Operator-prepared submittals
- Ad hoc Estimate / Schedule assessments (verification of project cost
& schedule bases)
• Assist Area Supervisor with analysis and planning for C&SD Estimate /
Schedule staffing requirements
• Assist Area Advisors with updates of Monthly Project Status Summary
Report (PSSR)
• Participate with Area Advisor in capturing cost & schedule lessons
learned and best practices
• May assist with Project Controls tools implementation, EMCAPS
deliverables, ongoing follow-up and assurance in support of the Project
Controls SME / follow-up process
• Promote and facilitate effective communication, teamwork, and
alignment among Cost & Schedule Development personnel and others
JOB ATTRIBUTES / CHARACTERISTICS
• Thorough and extensive knowledge of:
Major oil and gas Operator experience is required.
- Project controls principles, theories, and concepts
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology,
Business Administration with relevant experience
• Willing to work overseas in a team environment if necessary
• Willing to relocate to required project site
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
